Project Details

Positioned to capture the stunning vistas of Beaver Lake in Rogers, Arkansas, this residence was rich in potential but lacked the means to fully embrace its scenic surroundings. Sideco stepped in to elevate the home's allure and functionality, ensuring the breathtaking lake views took center stage.

The transformation began with the replacement of the fading and worn vinyl siding with James Hardie plank, renowned for its durability and aesthetic appeal. The upgrade to Marvin windows not only enhanced the home's energy efficiency but also framed the lake views with precision and clarity.

Understanding the homeowners' desire to connect with the lakeside ambiance, Sideco constructed several expansive TimberTech decks. These well-crafted additions provided ample space for relaxation and entertainment, all while placing emphasis on the panoramic water views. The decks, featuring multi-levels and a custom-built spiral staircase, demonstrated Sideco's commitment to merging innovation with homeowners' aspirations.

The home's brick, previously a point of dissatisfaction for its color, was artistically integrated into the new design through expert painting, harmonizing with the fresh, elegant white of the Hardie plank. A new front balcony, which replaced an ordinary entrance, now offers a welcoming approach with its French doors and sophisticated presence.

Clients of Sideco can expect a partnership that listens, adapts, and overcomes challenges with creativity. This project was a testament to that, with improvements such as added gable vents, reinforced soffits and fascia, and additional insulation addressing both form and function.

The result of Sideco's work is a home that not only stands out in the Beaver Lake community but also deeply satisfies its owners. The neighbors' compliments are a reflection of the transformation's impact, and the craftsmanship of Richard Gagne, the site foreman, is to be commended for his adaptability and skill.

This home is now a showcase of Sideco's trifecta: James Hardie materials, Marvin windows, and TimberTech decking, all contributing to a modern, low-maintenance lifestyle. The newly installed, custom-made spiral staircase is a testament to Sideco's ability to fulfill and exceed their clients' dreams, offering a path to the elevated deck and the grandeur of lake living.

Likely To Recommend

For anyone unsure if they want to embark on a project with Sideco, my advice to them would be to DO IT. Of course, everyone has different needs and challenges with any home siding, window, door or decking project. But as far as our project goes, we could not be happier with how it turned out. Sideco is not just a siding and window company, although their particular expertise with Hardie Board siding is very apparent. We learned early on that they could satisfy virtually all of project needs, including exterior brick painting, building a portico with a hip roof (which we then changed to a balcony, which included removing a window and re-framing for a French door), decking and even a new front door. Also, they made improvements during the course of their work, such as adding gable vents where they didn't exist before, improving the structure of the soffits and fascia, and they even added some insulation at my request when we discovered there were insulation voids under the old siding. Every aspect of our sizable project turned out wonderful. The new windows and doors are beautiful. The exterior paint, new front balcony and Hardie Board siding completely transform the exterior appearance of our home. Our neighbors can't stop gushing about how fantastic our home looks now. Also, our new decking is a thing of beauty. Richard Gagne, the site foreman, did a lot of creative and customized work to complete our deck and it turned out wonderful. We made several changes during the course of our project and Richard was extremely accommodating. Richard's motto is: "There's nothing we can't do". Everything we asked of him, he did. He's just the best. It was just a great pleasure working with everyone at Sideco. We're extremely satisfied with how our project turned out and we highly recommend Sideco.

Areas Of Satisfaction

The Hardie Board really transforms the overall appearance of the home. Love that product. The painting of our brick turned out better than we ever expected. Our decking is spectacular. We love the new front door - the stain looks great. The Marvin slider and new casement windows in our sunroom also turned out wonderful. We expect the energy efficiency of that room to be greatly improved. The new balcony at the front of our home is a home run. It really, really transforms the curb appeal of our home.

Recognized Excellence

Richard Gagne was our site foreman and he did an amazing job. He has great pride in his work and he just really seems to love the work that he does. It really comes through in everything that he does. We made several changes during the course of our project and he was extremely helpful and supportive during that process. He has an excellent crew who are very professional and courteous. Our project turned out better than we ever imagined, and we are so very thankful to Jimmy, Richard and the entire crew for their exceptional work. Patricio did a great job with the exterior trim work. Stick and John did a wonderful job with the balcony and deck work. The exterior painters did a fantastic job - including a lot of extra detail work that was above and beyond what would normally be expected. Greg did great work on our deck and lighting, and he has a great attitude and is very courteous.
